May 19, 2005 -- Last night I passed the big Powerball lottery billboard on my way home from work, and it said the jackpot was $129 million. Shit, I thought, I wouldn't mind a little of that action; somebody promising to pump millions and millions of dollars into my account would be the perfect end to an otherwise blah Wednesday. Sure, I'd have to put up with "relatives" crawling out of the woodwork with their sob stories of pending medical disaster, but I can say fuck off with the best of 'em.
