2. Garage sale proceeds to be donated to a local charity. 3. Left over items to be reporting donated to local groups in need. With over 375 participants and other groups of people doing there own personal weight-loss challenges we should be able to collect a large assortment of items. Some of the questions I have: 1. Does this sound worthwhile or a big pain in the neck? 2. Where would we have this garage sale? Since all proceeds would go to charity, it would be nice if we didn’t have reporting to pay to use a facility. 3. What charity? I think since St. John’s is sponsoring the challenge, the proceeds should go to one of their charities. 4. Do we limit donations to clothing only, or clothing and exercise related items such as videos and exercise equipment, or open it up to EVERYTHING? 5. A one-day sale or a two-day sale? 6. We would definitely need volunteers to help collect, price, sort, set up, cashier, and clean up. 7. Where and when would we collect donated items? 8. Where do we store the items until the time of the sale?
